Ok that's odd, maybe I take it back about being fair to UEFA....Originally posted by The ExpressThe substance he took was not on WADA’s banned list and WADA did not even attend in person but merely sent written submissions.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

The banned list isn't just a list of brand named products, it details types of chemicals that are not permitted and identifying whether a particular substance is of a particular type is not as simple as looking at the ingredients on the bottle or even testing it. There will inevitably be grey areas that require judgement. As has been said, the process ran it's course and gave us a good outcome, a precedent has been set that refines the process going forward for others, all's well that ends well.
Now we don't need to spend mega millions on a CB

UEFA are complete and utter *******s for putting Mammo through all this and robbing him and maybe us off Trophies and Medals that which he/we could have had.Originally posted by ChesterDave View PostHi Mamo
We ****ed up and were heideously wrong. Sorry we robbed you of a once in every 4 year opportunity.
No hard feelings that we dont have a cunting time machine
Lots of Love,
UEFA
UEFA have been a complete shambles for years and are corrupt through out the panel, so therefor they should have a complete clear out and start with genuine honest people on the panel

It still doesn't seem to be clear what has happened as I have read conflicting reports, the two scenarios I have read are:
1) That the substance was in a family of substances that are banned - but that Sakho's team have demonstrated that the substance he has taken shouldn't be on the list and that as a result he has been cleared and the substance removed from the banned list.
2) That the substance wasn't on the banned list for football but is for other sports.
The two situations throw up very different responses as to who is responsible. In scenario 1 whether Sakho knew that the substance wasn't performance enhancing the fact that it was part of a family of substances on the banned list means that he was stupid to take it, and whether it was performance enhancing or not the fact it was on a banned substance list would have meant UEFA would have been perfectly within their rights to ban him for a long time.
If it is scenario 2 then it is shear incompetance from UEFA not checking whether a substance is actually banned before suspending a player and they have cost Sakho the chance of playing in a Europa League final and a European Championships final in his home country. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
