I don't know how to take it. He's ****ed us over plenty while here with his stupidity, showed he really didn't give a **** about us last summer and with his apology this summer but then again he was one of the best I've ever seen and gave absolutely everything he had on the pitch. I don't buy his statement about loving us because his actions in other ways contradict it, I wouldn't put it past him to completely overlook us if he returns to the premier league one day.
****ing superb player though and I loved what he did for us on the pitch. Just massively pissed off he wouldn't give us one more season having come so close last year.
Bloody hell I don't know how I feel ! Anger, sadness, happiness at having ever had him. Weird!

That would wind my up. If he flopped at Barca or they're sick of his shenanigans in 2 seasons and he was linked with a move back - if he snubbed us for Man City, Chelsea or Arsenal etc I'd be against my better judgement in disbelief. However, I'm sure there's a real possibility of it happening.Originally posted by G View PostI don't know how to take it. The way i see it -
we got him for what £25m? had three amazing years from him football wise - arguably his best years/form - i enjoyed watching him play and appreciated it. But he caused issues every season and we were going to be without him for 4 months! And we've made £50m on him - plus he's gone abroad not to another english team and we are on the up on and off the pitch and back in champions league
**** it
I'm sad he's leaving but it was probably the best move possible for us.

After spending a huge portion of his life in trying to get to Barca I doubt he'll be back. When he leaves Barca I'd expect him to stay in SpainOriginally posted by G View PostI don't buy his statement about loving us because his actions in other ways contradict it, I wouldn't put it past him to completely overlook us if he returns to the premier league one day. What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

The time had come. He is possibly the best player we will ever see in a Liverpool shirt and his desire to win is second to none. But we have had 3 fantastic years, in footballing terms, and have made a 50million profit. He has gone to another league and has solved the ban issue, for us anyway, and in BR I have great faith. I think we played some great football without him last ban.
Ah, **** it....

So did Fabregas. He'll go where its best for Luis Suarez. His will to win is unreal so he'll never go anywhere just to stay in a country. If it doesn't work out at Barca he'll be off somewhere else where he can win things. Not too many teams in Spain offering that.Originally posted by Yozza View PostAfter spending a huge portion of his life in trying to get to Barca I doubt he'll be back. It should work out though. He's too good for it not to.Last edited by G; 11-07-14, 02:42 PM.

Shame he's gone but good luck to the guy - thanks for the memories.
Just hope his goals get to knock out Chelsea/Arsenal/United (future)/City in the champions league (and not us).
Decent move for him:
- Better chance of winning Champions League than us
- Better chance of winning league (City, Spurs, United, Chelsea, Arsenal will be stronger this season) and other cups (CDR)
- Gets to play with Messi (his idol)
- Country speaks his native tongue
- Wife's family over there
- No cunting English tabloids/media
- Gets to play against Ronaldo; hopefully stopping him & Real Madrid from winning anything
