Agreed. He puts the effort in for himself. Probably a huge reason he thrived with us beyond the Arsenal flirtation.

He was a disgrace to the club.

I absolutely love watching him play, and would take him back in a heartbeat; but I struggle with those that truly think he was anything other than an absolute disgrace on many levels

Let's do thisOriginally posted by Leyton388 View PostLet's offer them £50m in the summer. There seems to be massive upheaval at Barca at the minute and the Suarez transfer is meant to be one of the factors.
He was never going to be the main man at Barca which is why it's not really working out for him.
But unless something staggering happens this season, he won't come to us when he could choose any club in EnglandI saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

I'd take him back today, but by the summer he'll be even closer to the 30-year old milestone. How old is he, 28? 29? We'd be better off spending that sort of money on a Lacazette or similar upcoming star.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostAye no chance but I'd take him back today. Best footballer we've ever had, still in his prime. One tit for another.

Perhaps then we should ask the opinion of those who actually know him, perhaps club legends like Gerrard or King Kenny?
Funny how for such a disgrace, the club would have did anything they could to keep him and those who know him well, hold him in such high regard.
But, what do they know I suppose? If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
