The rest, meh. I'd rather be on the end of a Suarez bite than a studs up tackle. Sure it was crazy, out of the ordinary, ****ing mental tbh, but whatever. Disgraced the club? Not for me.

Cantona ****ing karate kicked a fan, he dived into the crowd studs up with the intent to hurt. He's still seen as some sort of God amongst the media and critics alike. A bite is taboo yeah and it is a horrible thing but it's nothing on that.

I've seen quotes of Cantona going on about that kick like it was something decent as well, they may well have not been true(Twitter innit) but the reactions from people certainty where "legend" "God" etc etc. The media perception of Suarez made something that was already quite bad even worse, I mean even at the time it was shown that Defoe has bitten someone, people barely even mention that.

Suarez biting someone was ridiculous, but did it disgrace the club, nah.

Whilst I'm on the subject as well, Suarez is an absolute genius, and Cantona was criminally overrated, probably the most overrated footballer ever.

Spot on about Cantona being overrated as well.

          Damn ****ing right.

The fawning over him is outrageous. Very good player, scorer of great and important goals domestically, but he went missing nigh on 100% of the time in the Champions League and against the very elite opposition he always failed to deliver.

Imagine the wankfest if he'd pulled off half of the things Suarez has done.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He's overrated alright, no doubt about it.

But that remains, without doubt, the funniest moment ever in football.

Just magnificent. 20 years ago yesterday as well, still remember it like it was yesterday.

Even Torres for that matter, some of the stuff he did when in his pomp for us made Cantona look like a donkey with 3 legs!

But at the same time what is worse, getting bitten or getting a knee high tackle? Both wrong but I think the level of condemnation and sheer hatred Luis had to suffer here from the media and other teams' fans was more disgraceful than those actual acts.
I dunno mate. He was 2 years old and he bit someone. Bit someone!!
I mean, he didn't use the shirt to wipe his arse or gob on the 'This Is Anfield' sign, but c'mon, BITING someone ffs

What is 'worse', biting or a knee high tackle? Well in terms of what I would prefer to be on the end of, a little nibble, 100%. But in a contact sport, I am genuinely perplexed at how a bad/reckless/violent challenge could ever be viewed as more heinous than one adult human being biting another

Come on Shaggy, you honestly genuinely believe that Suarez didn't mean to cause any offence to Evra when he called him negrito? I mean, honestly?

He's a fantastic footballer but he keeps finding himself in these situations at some point you've got to look at the lowest common denominator and that's Luis.

I think it is perfectly acceptable for people to condemn the negative aspects of Luis Suarez yet at the same time be prepared to accept them because of the sheer genius of the player

He's a fantastic footballer simple as that but he makes ****ing stupid decisions the two are not mutually exclusive.

I love watching him play the game, amazing to watch but he is a bit of a cunt when on the pitch

It was ****ing funny and I'm ashamed to say that the Kronenborg advert, when he says he's a farmer, makes me smile. Rumour has it that Ginola was offered the part first but he wanted £250k and 10% of Kronenborg's profits for the year

He admitted to saying "por que, negro?".

I don't know what he intended. Just the same as you or anyone else - other than Suarez - doesn't know if he was being racist. Unlike, say, John Terry who was caught calling someone a "****ing black cunt". We can all agree there's no doubt about that.

Not going into the whole negro thing but obviously it doesn't mean or translate as what it means here. He could 100% legitimately have been referring to him as negro, it's commonplace. I don't see why he'd admit to that when he could've denied everything and got away with it. He didn't admit to racially abusing Evra, he admitted to saying "por que, negro?".

My point was I don't buy the universal acceptance that he is racist (especially since the FA's report, including Evra, clearly stated he is not a racist individual), I don't buy the FA's "investigation" and I don't accept their verdict nor their idea of justice.

The stone cold fact is he would not have been found guilty in a court of law. His 'offence' has never been proven. Not even close. So no way will I go along with the bloodthirsty masses - most of whom take issue with almost everything the FA do or adjudicate on but conveniently put that to one side for a moment while they heartily applauded the Suarez verdict - and accept that Suarez racially abused Evra.

And that's the crux of the situation. If he's not our cunt, then he's just a cunt.

He has a crazy win at all costs mentality and is an incredibly naturally talented footballer. Just like Maradona IMO.
