Thanjk you.

It's not quite happening for him and he looks like the guy at school always hanging around the main guys (Messi and Neymar) who have yet to accept him in their clique. A bit like est1892 come to think of it.....

Find myself strangely ambivalent as to whether or not it works out for him over there TBH.
Only ever looks the same player in small moments in the vast majority of the Barca games I've watched, for reasons to many to go into again, but it's clear he doesn't appear to be enjoying it as much as he thought - but then there were times with us when he looked miffed.
There's no doubting his quality, unlike others, but whatever.
Ships that pass in the night with us.

The best players in the world are called that because they score the most goals. They score the most goals because they are selfish. Put too many selfish players together and the team doesn't click as you'd expect.
Suarez isn't an Ibrahimovic, one who couldn't & wouldn't change his style to suit others. But he is one who having changed his natural game, looks far less effective than when asked to be the go to man at LFC. At Liverpool we sold Carroll and designed the whole team and way of playing around him. To expect him to go to Barca and produce similar results was always going to be a ridiculous notion.
He's one of the best in the world. But he isn't better than Messi and so they aren't going to build a team around him.
IMO, the best transfer business is done when a player moving clubs is given either the same or a more prominent role at the new club. Because if your new signing is forced into a new way of playing or into a different role, it invariably takes time or fails. Not always the case, but the brightness that made you sign that player is significantly dulled.
Take Thierry Henry for example. A monster in the prem and he did well at Barca. But it's fair to say that he didn't look the same player at Barca as he did at Arsenal. I guess his advance in age could be given as explanation. How about Fabregas? Same move. Was never going to be the main man due to Xavi & Iniesta, but did well. Comes back to the Prem though and he looks like a superstar again.
As far as I can see, it's quite simple really. They had a position open for a striker and went and signed the best in the world in that position for a good fee.
Not really. Kroos' preferred option was Barcelona as was Reus. They spent the summer trying to get Cuadrado on the cheap but that fell through and they spent £75m on a striker when they didn't need to, they already had 2 better ones. They're pretty poor in the transfer market.
