I don't think having Sturridge there to put them away has skewed this in anyway.

Taking nothing away from Stevie but he had Torres for a lot longer than the Sturridge/Suarez partnership.

Skewed figures again. Suarez's assists came because he passed to Sturridge. Often. Obviously Sturridge weren't gonna miss.

Most of Gerrard's hard work pre-Torres was to a long line of donkeys, except Owen.

Suarez also laid on a few to Sterling, at a time I thought he was just trying to boost Sterling's ego. Suarez had an incredible season, he was unstoppable really until the last three or four games.

I didn't mean it in a bad way btw. I just felt sometimes that he could have gotten his own tally higher but he instead he squared it to others, notable to me was Sterling.

Definitely. In the games where he "went missing" vs big teams he used that technique a lot to make gaps.

Fantastic player in every way. Except his cannibalistic tendencies of course.

He was a brilliant footballer but having Dirk Kuyt just behind you in assists dulls the award a bit.

As does having Stig Inge Bjornebye on there too.

Its just a shame we could not have held onto him for one more season, as we would have had a decent shout of winning both the league and champions league

Think he has 8 assists in the league but only 3 goals in the league for Luis Suarez, at a team like Barca is pretty bad. Stuart Downing has 5 goals and 7 assists in the league... just saying
