'Black eye threat' behind racist claim
Leeds defender Giuseppe Bellusci was cleared of racially abusing Norwich's Cameron Jerome because he was actually threatening to give the striker "a black eye", the Football Association has revealed.
The Italian was charged following an incident during the 1-1 draw between the teams in October, where he was alleged to have directed a racial insult at Jerome.
An independent regulatory commission dropped the case at a personal hearing earlier this month.
An FA document released today revealed that Bellusci was accused of calling Jerome a 'negro', but the panel accepted his explanation that he said the word 'nero', the Italian term for black, while threatening Jerome with a black eye.
FA are beyond a joke to believe a word of this ****....What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

How come? Occhio nero, black eye, doesn't seem too hard to see how such a misunderstanding could occur.Originally posted by Yozza View Post

Like the misunderstanding with Luis and his jovial 'negrito'?
The one where he was guilty for saying black regardless of the intent.
Black eye or no black eye he still said black and admitted to it. Open and shut case.

It's making reference to someone's skin colour whilst insulting them that was in their rules.
Anyway, Ken will run with whatever opinion goes against the grain

LOL, not wanting to reopen that sorry episode but the whole point of the word 'negrito' in Latin culture is it can be, and is, used with anyone of any color as a nickname. It's not a reference to skin color.
Almost every game of football I play I hear someone shouting 'negrito' to call for the ball from one of their team mates but I don't think I've played against a single black player here.
The other one that I hear in every game is 'gordito' or 'fatty'. Mind you, unlike 'Negrito' I think those with the nickname 'Gordito' are general fat lol. Mexicans definitely aren't fattists though, I think Mexico is one of the most obese countries in the world so maybe it's just coincidence that everyone with the nickname 'Gordito' happens to be fat.
