They spent £30million on Mathieu and Vermaelen, which was a terrible waste of funds.

Ok but I cannot see how anyone can have a go at them signing Suarez. Sort of player that, if available, any team in the world should be looking to sign him, even Barcelona. His infectious appetite to win alone is worth £75m.Originally posted by cream View PostNot really. Kroos' preferred option was Barcelona as was Reus. They spent the summer trying to get Cuadrado on the cheap but that fell through and they spent £75m on a striker when they didn't need to, they already had 2 better ones. They're pretty poor in the transfer market.

I dont think anyone really expected Suarez to go there and not be brilliant
It just seemed impossible that he wouldnt do well there
You have to remember though that there has been plenty of rumours about Barcelona and dressing room divides and rows with the manager etc..Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Same price as Mario, Lamber and Borini.
Or £5m less than a Geordie donkey.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I know how he feelsOriginally posted by Tee View PostIt's not quite happening for him and he looks like the guy at school always hanging around the main guys (Messi and Neymar) who have yet to accept him in their clique. A bit like est1892 come to think of it.....
He’s here! I *know* he’s here! That’s him, I’m telling you that’s him! You hear me? I’m telling you it’s *Keyser Soze*!

I hope his career nosedives. We supported him to the hilt and to the detriment of a club great and he's angling to move at every given opportunity. He'll be back in the premier league within 18 months to the highest bidders. With him I wouldn't rule out going to utd or Chelsea. Just the kind of bloke he is. Fantastic player. But shafted us IMO.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

We seem to do well out of selling amazing LFC strikers for a bucket load of cash...and seeing them turn into Ronnie Rosenthal almost overnight...
