The current frustration with the team is exacerbated by the fact that we've had some amazing strikers like Suarez play for us.

Luis Suarez: ‘If I returned to England I would only play for Liverpool’

          Dont tease us Luis............

Speaking about the possibility of life after Barcelona, Luis Suarez hinted at a possible return to Liverpool in the future.

Suarez secured his place in history as one of the greatest players to ever turn out for Liverpool over a three-and-a-half-year spell with the club.

After scoring 82 goals in 133 appearances for the Reds, propelling Brendan Rodgers‘ side to an unexpected title challenge in 2013/14, the Uruguayan earned a £75 million move to Barcelona.

Now operating alongside Neymar and Lionel Messi in the most effective forward line in European football, Suarez is truly at the peak of his powers.

But at 29, Suarez will be aware that his time with the Catalan giants will be limited, and addressing his long-term future the striker hinted at a potential return to Merseyside.

“You never know what will happen in the future,” he said this week.

“If I was to return to England, it would be to play for Liverpool—not for any other team.”

Suarez’s heroics saw him adored by the Anfield faithful, and that is one of the main reasons behind his affection for the club.

“I’ve missed the fans,” he continued.

“The atmosphere is incredible, it’s incredible.

“Everyone who has played for Liverpool knows how important the fans are—they know they will always be in my heart.”

While supporters should not get their hopes up yet, as if Suarez was to leave Barcelona he would not be short of suitors, the prospect of the former No. 7 rejoining the Reds is a tantalising one.

Suarez has already made the return to Anfield since leaving, taking part in Steven Gerrard‘s All-Star charity game in March of last year.

But if he was to make the switch back to Merseyside, he would fill a void that Liverpool have so far failed to address.

His brand of tenacious, hardworking, highly clinical attacking play was perfectly in tune with the demands of Liverpool’s system, with the likes of Christian Benteke and Mario Balotelli struggling to cope with the pressure of the role.

Having left the Premier League due to the remarkable, critical scrutiny from the English press, however, it is likely that Suarez would think twice about making his return.

          Liverpool supporters can only dream.

If I come back to england it will onky be for LFC.

means if he is finished at barca he will go to bayern or psg for money. maybe china will be the big money place when he is ready to stop serious football.

Suarez, Firmino and Ings front three

Sturridge might be back by then too.
