When Australia used to have to play the 5th placed Sth American side to get into the World Cup, it was generally Uruguay we faced. They beat us in 2002 and it was the most infuriating couple of games i think ive ever watched. The Away game was just ridiculous, Im sure i recall some absolute A grade ****housery going on with the local fans in Montevideo basically raiding the hotel the Aussies were staying in and making them get no sleep.
