No it's not that moment at all. Look when he runs to holgate, he shouts something, ref and players hold him back, then our view is obscured by the ref and at that moment he says something that incenses holgate. Look at holgates reaction at that point. He may of misheard, thought something else was said or be plain lying.

He could have been saying to Holgate that he is a mofo like that poster on Est: snigger.

I'm more concerned about this than Coutinhio leaving.

If there is a case, he'll be charged. And everybody knows that an FA charge = a guilty verdict. That's just the way it works.
        Oh I don't know.

I said previously that I was concerned about the FA and the balance of probabilities not resulting in a fair case, but thinking about the situation and working on this principle there can only be 2 outcomes - a bang to rights guilty or a not guilty, surely there can be no grey area, because of the number of people involved.

If we assume that Holgate is saying Firmino racially abused him and that Firmino is denying it. Then in order to prove the charge, at least one of the other people in the immediate vicinity (the referee, Lallana or Kenny) has to have heard it, (or the referee's microphone picked it up) in which case Firmino would be bang to rights. Given how close the referee, Lallana and Kenny were to the incident, if none of those have heard the racial abuse then on the balance of probabilities they can't charge Firmino.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Right. But I guarantee that a charge will result in a guilty verdict.

Why not counter claim racism then? Just level it at anyone and get them banned for a few games. Easy.

Isn't Dom just saying the the FA only charge people when they're going to find them guilty? I think the stats show that.

Yep, something like 98.25% of charges result in guilty verdicts

                    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Wonder why they bother having this extra level of procedure

                            Yup.

It's completely the wrong way round.

It's like the CPS deciding guilt without bothering with a court of law.
                            Oh I don't know.

Or it could be argued that it's like the cps where the cps are really good at their job. But it could also mean that too few people are being charged.
