On my BBC sport app, this was the 10th placed article when the news was breaking, and it stayed there after.
A whole bunch of inconsequential **** was above it. To the mainstream, it's a non story.Last edited by dom9; 22-02-18, 12:28 AM.Oh I don't know.

Shame how a process like this can last for about 8+ weeks without the innocent player being allowed to say anything all the while the media are allowed to speculate and accuse Firmino of racist abuse without any facts. The most disgusting part about this is that the referee was right next to Firmino (closer than Holgate) and looking straight at him. If the referee didn't hear/see it then there's no chance Holgate could have.Last edited by Mr Darko; 22-02-18, 01:28 AM.

The one positive thing from this is Bobby´s strength of character. His performances on the pitch never suffered during this period

There is no way this should have taken this long. Looking at the video, speaking to everyone nearby getting translators and lip readers can't take the 7 (?) Weeks this has taken. I appreciate that they need to do a proper job but it feels like they have been dragging it outo so that it looks like they have been doing a proper job
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Well, we don't know what Madley heard, but he could well have heard Firmino speaking in Portuguese although the fact the FA brought in Portuguese lip readers suggests maybe he didn't hear anything at all or was too unsure or a ****house to say anything. If someone is speaking to you in a foreign language you know it. I don't know what word Holgate misheard but it's very dubious.Originally posted by Mr Darko View PostShame how a process like this can last for about 8+ weeks without the innocent player being allowed to say anything all the while the media are allowed to speculate and accuse Firmino of racist abuse without any facts. We just need to draw a line under it though.

My only real surprise in this matter is the Fa didn't find some way to find Bobby guilty & judging by how exhaustively they investigated the matter they obviously explored every avenue.
So given they have now exonerated Bobby does anyone think Holgate might have some shred of decency & admit he got it wrong? And maybe, just maybe might owe Bobby some sort of apology? It was clear what was going on with this from the moment it happened. That the FA chose not to address this says a lot about the myopia that affects the institution. In fact given the quality of officiating this season I'm surprised they have the gall to issue such a po-faced statement.Akloppalypse Now !

now that the fa has pissed about for so long 'investigating' the alleged incident and shown themselves to be a gang of ******s they will conveniently forget to review the push and discuss whether there should be a charge of violent conduct.
it stinks, but its what we all thought would happen. gang of corrupt ****ers.

The FA are a lot of things, most of them on the rubbish end of the scale, but to call them corrupt after finding a player from your team not guilty of something is a little bit baffling.Oh I don't know.

the fa took so long to investigate a nothing case. if there was something you'd have expected a decision with 48 hrs, as it then went on for weeks we have to assume they were leaving no stone unturned actively looking for something that didnt exist hoping to find some shred to reprimand bobby and LFC.Originally posted by dom9 View Post

What is the end product of this corruption?
And who was the beneficiary?
And what did it cost them (bribe money etc)?
Maybe you should report it to the police.Oh I don't know.
