In his own right though, he’s scored over 100 goals for the club and many assists too.

Especially impressive when you consider that he had a tougher start at the club at the back end of the rodgers era.

Klopp and his team deserves some credit too for having to vision to turn him into a false 9, having previously been mostly a number 10 at Hoffenheim.

Bet he never gets the reputation he deserves. Bobby Firmino is/was a better footballer than Dennis Bergkamp, but I doubt he’ll be fawned over in the same way.

I recall Henry gushing over Firmino after one of his amazing flick assists to Mo. Said he wished he had played with him. He certainly rated him very highly and would be well placed to compare him to Bergkamp.

Bobby in his pomp was an absolute beast of a player. Skill, vision, game intelligence and a ridiculous work rate. A vital cog in the Klopp machine and an integral part of one of the most dynamic and deadly attacks the game has ever seen. You will be missed Señor.

Its a shame,as I think Bobby has been off form for a couple of seasons and has hit a bit more of a purole patch this year. I really hope he goes out with a bang. Might be hard to get back in with Gakpo on form, though.
