Am I missing something here? The club has shown a lack of wit by waiting and allegedly securing an extra 3mil in revenue?

If this is what you're saying it's clear proof some fans just like to belittle every decision the club makes even if it's the right one.

If we end up keeping him and paying wages so what? He can fight for his place, as he has already publicly said he will do.

I see no problem with how we are conducting our business this summer. We've set our prices and any club that meets the price can talk to the player.

        That's great.

I'm a huge fan of FSG and their polices and while it's true that LFC do not need 30m quid to balance the books or anything it's equally true that missing out on a sale wouldn't be particularly clever either - esp for Benteke but I suppose no one cares much about the players own career eh? He needs to move on.

Of course he does and he will.

If he stays, we'll be coughing up at least £100k a week for a 4th/5th choice striker, when Sturridge, Origi, Ings, are ahead of him, and Firmino can be used there in a formation that only has one striker.

He won't be here in September. It'll be bad for him to stay, and I think Klopp would've made it very clear to him that he won't be getting game time.

                He'll leave surely?

No good for his career to be hanging about the place hoping for an injury crisis.

                  Good for his pocket though.

Wont he be due compensation unless he requests a transfer?

10% of the transfer fee if sold against his will, no idea what happens about his salary, I suppose the club pays off his contract.

Could we have a collection between us to try to make up the difference between the offer and what LFC want? I am in for a pony.

Arsenal really should be all over this - they won't pay out for the likes of Lacazette or Lukaku but for just 30 million a big lump can be theirs!

Hull on loan is actually a possibility according to some of the lads I know who support them.

Their track records for me include their signings of Diame and Snodgrass and also Bruce leaving.

The times they are a changin'.

I was thinking he'd end up being loaned out. What a joke
