Well either that or dead wood that we can't get rid of and in some cases end up forever sending out on loan with LFC still footing half the wages.

I imagine that happens a lot. Imagine the embarrasment if an offer gets accepted and the player turns the club down for being too small. I guess most clubs put in a bid after the player gives a nod via a string of agents.
