Still close to three years, I think he's the type that doesn't commit for the sake of it, he'll asses the situation when the contract is closer to running out.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostWell, 2 years really, because the last year will be rife with speculation IMO.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Hmmmm, not so sure.Originally posted by Charly View PostTo be fair, his tactics were not too disimilar to Klopps... like a cheap copy with some really ****e players. It was like he knew what he wanted (a ferrari), but had no idea what was beneath the bonnet... And he was a bit of a dick, wouldnt work with the committee, and would be difficult respecting a man who obviously read a psychology book once. Way too much ego.
I fear whomever we pick will change everything and **** it all up.If Gerrard came in and tried to emulate Klopp, Id be happy with that. But Im sure he has his own ideas, and I dont think Rangers is a particularly suitable proving ground.
Rodgers was primarily possession based when he took over with all that tika-taka ****. You could argue there was some similarities in 13/14 because we were very attacking and Suaraz led the high press, but once he left that went to sh*t and Rodgers best response was to go 3 at the back. Rodgers record in Europe was shocking, again the opposite of Klopp.
That maybe sounds like a dig at Rodgers, it's not. People like to discredit what he achieved here and put it down to Suarez, but Rodgers did well to get the best out of his attacking players and finding a system that suited them, whereas Klopp I'd say gets the best players to suit his system. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I would love to see him become a top manager and eventually manage us

Talking about Klopp leaving and comparing him to Rogers FFS
Klopp is a once in a generation managerial genius. How he has got us competing with City and the multi Billion investment they have received is nothing short of remarkable.
I wonder if he would take a sabbatical, we get a caretaker in for a year and then let him come back? I’d consider absolutely anything. But let’s talk about it Summer 2021

After Klopp (hopefully not for years yet), we need another manager that 'gets' LFC. A man of the people, an 'ordinary' bloke, with passion, intelligence and humility. I'm not sure anybody that has managed another elite club will do. They need to have managed at a Mainz or a Dortmund, not a Bayern or Milan. An anti-establishment type, a rebel, a disrupter, with a vision. Just my thoughts.

He would be a little dumb if he said he wanted to stay here forever. This would limit his bargaining power with regard to any contract negotiations. Providing, FSG back him (as they have done until now) and give him the players, the staff, any other expertise he wants, plus the players perform at the highest level. Why would he not continue?
He did 7 years at Mainz, 7 years at BvB and it would be 7 with us. He is an all or nothing manager - why would he not continue......because he would be burnt out himself and would need a break to get the hunger back. If he isn’t 100% at it himself mentally then it would be reflected on the pitch.
If we manage to get 7 years from Klopp then we should be thankful and who knows the next manager may even build on his success. The club is well run and we have some v decent prospects coming through.
We have 3 years left - let’s enjoy it

We will do it this season if current trend continues as beaten by cheats in the CL so we went one better & claimed it at their ground so City better watch out as we are coming for ya!Originally posted by Norbs View PostThose cheating cunts could deny him the chance of winning the league and he's probably the manager in all of history that's deserved it the most
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

So in a nutshell you are suggesting he suffers from 7 year itch?Originally posted by Irishnev View Post[/B]
