To be fair, his tactics were not too disimilar to Klopps... like a cheap copy with some really ****e players. It was like he knew what he wanted (a ferrari), but had no idea what was beneath the bonnet... And he was a bit of a dick, wouldnt work with the committee, and would be difficult respecting a man who obviously read a psychology book once. Way too much ego.
I fear whomever we pick will change everything and **** it all up.If Gerrard came in and tried to emulate Klopp, Id be happy with that. But Im sure he has his own ideas, and I dont think Rangers is a particularly suitable proving ground. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

The guy is a legend as a player, but to be honest I'm not sure he has what it takes to be a top manager. (I hope I am wrong though). I think that as long as he maintains a decent profile he will be linked with the job if/when Klopp leaves.Originally posted by sean_lfc View PostI actually don't want Gerrard - ever. I don't think he has the humility, just don't. Xabi, yes, Gerrard no. It's the human quality that makes the greatest of Liverpool managers, Shanks, Paisley, Fagan, Kenny, Rafa, Klopp. Just is.
For me though he needs to have success at Rangers (win league titles) and have success elsewhere or have massive success at Rangers in Europe by which I mean win the Europa league or establish them as a team that can get into the latter stages of the CL on a semi regular basis (which is a huge ask given the recent record of Scottish clubs in europe). I like the guy and want him to do well but I don't want him getting the job as our manager because of his links to the club rather than on merit. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We still have three years at least, maybe longer even, who knows. Gerrard is getting off great with Rangers and IMO he might still prove a good manager, if he surrounds himself with the right people at Liverpool, he could be a success.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Lots of knee jerking here. Klopp gets asked questions. He answers them in an open way. The press then heavily biase his answers in the rags
He would be a little dumb if he said he wanted to stay here forever. This would limit his bargaining power with regard to any contract negotiations. Providing, FSG back him (as they have done until now) and give him the players, the staff, any other expertise he wants, plus the players perform at the highest level. Why would he not continue?
