Agreed, TBF, he crossed the line, rose tinted glasses off, what he did was out of order, regardless , end off.Originally posted by little dave hedgehog View Postthe one thing i can see on the other hand here is that klopp is an enormous, intimidating dude and he popped into his face out of nowhere while he was running past, which is potentially dangerous and could have knocked him over, or startled him and made him fall trying to get out of the way. it's fine, he got carded, he said he agreed with the decision, as far as i'm concerned that side of the matter is closed. we can talk about what lead up to it, but it was handled.
Take the hit, be humble, move on.
FWIW, the match officials also need looking at....I make no apologies, this is me

Klopp said after the game that he deserved the red, for losing his temper but that he didn’t say anything offensive or that. Honestly I think a yellow woulda been enough, especially given how justified his frustration was. The officiating of the game was a disgrace.
But it was hardly ideal timing when the Merseyside refs refused to do any matches on the w/e due to the abuse received.
We all get pissed off with the officials but if you ever try doing a match I suspect you might change your attitude in regard to what's acceptable.
I've only reffed Rugy - never football - which is a walk in the park by comparison, but even then, getting dogs abuse and fist shakes from some adolescent's parent who doesn't even understand the laws of the game is not the most fun thing you could be doing on a Sunday morning.

Looks fine to me. The crowd was loud, he was just shouting and getting up close to make sure the linesman could hear that he was calling him a cheating a cunt.Originally posted by Mr Pink View PostI just don’t see what the issue was…

"When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

All this media noise about Klopp’s reaction to the foul on Salah and his comments about the spending power of City (PSG and Newcastle), due to being owned by an Arab State, is absolutely ridiculous. Why not ask questions about the root cause? Poor officiating and questionable ownership are the topics that deserve scrutiny.Another MASSIVE game

There's not a single quote from Klopp or the club that says legal action is being taken. The Paul Hirst Times article was updated last night night to say it was subject to a legal complaint from LFC/Klopp. Then completely removed shortly after.Originally posted by Venton View PostThere's not a single quote from Klopp or the club that says legal action is being taken. What I find a bit difficult to accept is the silence and enabling from other journalists, these countries are blatantly ruining football, the World Cup and the most important point, these are oppressing regimes, and the cat will get out of the bag at some point, like with Roman. I really hope those "journalists" will be held accountable then. US and Saudi relations are deteriorating and there are some stories that other middle east countries have helped Russians evade sanctions.Originally posted by Big-Red-Ed View PostKlopp feeling he has to explain he was wasn't being xenophobic to City's Saudi owners is a load of woke nonsense. Are they denying the facts that money is practically unlimited to them. The absolute nerve of them taking offence while they carry out this enormous sportswash at city.

Even the dog in the street really knows what's going on. Everyone nowadays is afraid to give an opinion on anything remotely controversial for fear of a backlash from the media in particular.
To say that Klopps comments in some way inflamed the rivalry is complete nonsense. The rivalry is inflamed because we push them to the limit and often beat them and don't roll over like mostly everyone else.

I agree, but if we reach the point that there will some European sanctions on certain countries from the Middle East due to support to Russia, I hope we will make sure that those journalists who support them through thick and thin, will be held accountable somehow. They are enabling huge sports washing projects.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
