Just reaffirms a lot of what we have been saying and a few interesting notes - Andy K difficult to work with, Graham and Ward feeling undermined…. It’s so frustrating that we have allowed thus to happen in the back room. Above all else that is the most necessary thing for us to punch above our financial weight and we’ve ****ed itOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostHaha. Zero edits, I promise. Too glum an article to be ****ing around with it.

Interesting article, tfp.
It all points to sale doesnt it. All the issues are solved by money. Look at Newcastle and Utd adrift last season, then all in on a few transfers some players finding form a decent manager and they are back challenging.
Thought this was interesting.
Most curious has been seeing Salah diverted away from his role as the main threat and isolated in wide areas with a severe reduction in shot volume.
Salah has not stopped being Salah, the system no longer allows him to be.Modifying post.

There is caveat on the opinion on AK.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostJust reaffirms a lot of what we have been saying and a few interesting notes - Andy K difficult to work with, Graham and Ward feeling undermined…. Ultimately the game has changed, we managed to compete with one financial juggernaut and Utd in disarray now there are more.
Only way out of the storm is a sale, and then we have the ethics vs ambition debate.Modifying post.

Even if we had a bottomless pit of money id hope we still buy based on best in class analysis and be ruthless in refreshing. No point in buying Tchouameni and a Enzo F if Klopp prefers Hendo and FabinhoOriginally posted by Buzzo View PostThere is caveat on the opinion on AK.

, clearly that isn’t the case but stupid spending is equally damaging

I don’t think so. If we lack cohesion behind the scenes, as the article claims, then money alone will only get us so far, if anywhere. Utd have been spending massive amounts for years, but still been a mess for most of that time.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostInteresting article, tfp.

Newcastle have made a host of changes to their structure and strategy, not just simply appointed a decent coach and chucked money at it.
In the summer, Chelsea spent £300m on an already expensive squad and currently sit 10th.
More financial power would of course be a massive advantage, but only if we’ve got the right people working together and making the right decisions. Which as the article says, it seems we’ve stopped doing..

She should write for The Athletic.
A load of stating the obvious along with subjective opinion being packaged as a
"Detailed analysis".
The kind of thing someone might say "Good Post" to if posted on a forum by a layperson but pretty much a fluff piece that takes forever to say Liverpool must do better.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Hard to believe that is seen as being some sort of fresh detailed analysis. Then again the Sky way is to package everything up as being something big.
Each to their own I suppose. One person's sycophant is another person's oracle or was that orifice?

Totally agree. I was at that game and didn't give a **** about the result afterwards. Horrible. **** ParisOriginally posted by Exiled_red View PostIt's 2 out of 3 CL finals that he's lost and 1 out of 1 Europa final, sorry to be pedantic.
The two CL finals IMO were overtaken by events, the first one the injury to Salah and the Karius special, the second by the safety, security etc, which delayed the kick off and distracted the players worrying about family & friends etc. Also the atmosphere at that game wasn't right from our fans because of what happened and IMO that contributed, we played ok off the back of an immense season and were unlucky to lose. Personally I think the game would have gone differently had the off the field **** hadn't happened, because at the end of the day most people associate with the club (thankfully) walked away from that final and didn't give a **** about the score

Incidentlly, I do worry that all these posts demanding a sale of the club so "we can compete" are a carbon copy of the posts before David Moores selling to H&G.
