Maybe it wasn't a sudden change of heart. He said himself he hadn't spoken to Kolo about his future. Maybe he had that chat and Kolo told him he wants to carry on playing elsewhere.

I always found it silly when we played Augsburg and Dortmund that Klopp had to wait for the German translators, when Klopp himself could've done the translations, and been far better at them.
