Feel like we have become old Liverpool in the CL away games ,

Playing possession ball at the back , at a slow pace around the penalty box

Napoli and PSG are good teams so let our weaker players have the ball like Lovren , Gomez and Hendo , then close down the better players soon as they receive the ball.

We steam rolled teams last year playing the ball quickly , you could sense after 5 mins we were gonna be slow and one paced.

Funny how he suddenly looks alive when Shaqiri or Keita start isn’t it? Our chance creation is regularly **** when them 3 play together away. It’s by far our biggest issue, we can get away with it at home but not away. It was crap in Rome, crap in the final, tragic last night, useless in Naples (though injury forced that), Leicester was rubbish until Shaqiri and Keita come on. Chelsea away was a decent performance but again not much of a grip in midfield. This midfield was pretty much our last resort midfield last season, for good reason with the likes of Phil, Ox and Can preferred, it’s crazy it’s suddenly first choice!

No surprise our best displays away have been with Keita starting. He needs to play now, even if he doesn’t understand the system perfectly it’s not like the rest are lighting up it!

A slow, lethargic build up does not suit any of our front 3. Not a surprise the change in tactics has had a huge impact on all 3 front men. Zero creativity in the midfield, massive gaps between the two in which none of the midfield lads are running into to support the forwards. So more than often Salah is isolated and Mane and Firmino are too deep trying to get possession. There is a Coutinho sized hole in that midfield, Shaq in that midfield 100% makes us a better side, at least he tries to release the ball quickly, plays the channels and looks for diagonal balls.... other midfield lads are just workers and that is admirable and necessary but we do need creativity and guile.

I really hope Klopp either decides to give Keita and Fabinho a fair crack or if he doesn't think it's happening for them... get someone else in January. I think we probably need an AM in January anyways.

Shaq seems the only one who passed the ball quickly to the front three and knows where his team mates are.

Hendo being the holding player always pushes Gini out as well which has an impact on his game.

Gini was our best player the first 10-12 games or so imo. As regards Shaq at least he is trying to create, has a great range of passing too. I just don't get Klopp putting him in and out of the side when there isn't another player in our squad that is fit like him. We look a better attacking side with him in the team. Ox is a huge loss the way he plays & we haven't seen the Keita of Leipzig bursting forward either.

The midfield were doing nothing to support he attack (other than milner occasionally) so salah is left struggling on his own with psg dobling up on him, sometimes three...
They were smashing into him and the ref wasnt giving us anything in their half.

Salah is maybe still below oar but with nk help from rhe midfield sit looks much worse tha it really is. With shaqiri on the pitch our game is more joined up and highlights how poor some of our midfielders really are...
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

PSG are like City... to beat them you have to attack them hard and fast. If you show them any respect or sit back at all they will dominate you.
League 1 is stronger than you think. See how Lyon fared with City over two games and they are 100 points behind PSG in the league.
                  Are we winning?

What happened to the heavy metal pressing game? It used to frighten the **** out of teams in Europe.
Now we have a team of Hendos.

No build up thread yet for Everton so I'll put it here, I'm very worried that we are going to get beat, we can't get away with grinding out results forever, I'm not panicking if we do lose, they are due a win sometime against us and we are surely due a loss this season too. But we are losing our mojo and our aura.

We aren’t really getting away with anything though, we are scoring enough goals and putting up elite defensive numbers. Our domestic performances have been massively underrated because there’s no Roma or Arsenal type displays.

We've become so accustomed to winning, suddenly a narrow loss to one of the most competitive teams in Europe is raising alarm bells among some.

We're doing excellently. That Red Star game was the anomaly and unfortunately could cost us our place in the CL.

                            So true.

We lost narrowly to a bunch of cheating *******s with the most expensively assembled frontline in history, away.

We need to keep a sense of perspective.

I reckon this isn't aimed at me, I've not panicked about the PSG result, wrote somewhere here that it's not earth shattering, guess I think it wouldn't be either if we lost points against Everton, they are in good form, we are having some midfield problems and something is a bit off for us ATM.

That's bollocks. Away to napoli was about as bad as you can get. Losing isn't the issue, but in 3 away games we have created **** all and looked awful.
