How does that work though, as it's not even remotely something that is in the DNA of the manager or that team? I think, we can make ourselves difficult to score against against if we make sure we ride out phases during the game when things aren't going our way - win battles when it's needed and make sure we ride difficult periods out. We aren't doing that at the moment. We are still trying to pass and play, which is credit to the players, as this is a team of talented players, who've lost form and confidence.Originally posted by RichC View PostBack to basics, make us hard to score against in the first 5 minutes would be a startAre we winning?

Any new manager is likely to get a short term lift from the team and we would start to win games. But at what cost. Look at what happened to Arsenal when they got tired of Wenger. Klopp needs to stay, but he does need to do something different.Originally posted by Norbs View PostSo by your own reasoning, if our team isn't full of **** players and relegation fodder, why are they struggling so much?

He said the "transition" was because four players dipped in form at the same time.Originally posted by danperkins View PostWe've gone to absolute ****, just say it. It ain't just confidence and what we know is not working. The season is ****ed

How an a team who could have won 4 titles last year becomes full of ****? Are you mad by your own reasoning? Are we winning?

Why aren't we changing the formation if the players we have aren't working right.
4 5 1 or 442 or 5 3 2. Get hard to beat. We're easy to score against and can't score either. It's relegation form right now.

Fredo is just advocating staying calm and carrying on. I've advocated Klopp being given significant funds for a long time. Whoever snookered us by not shipping out the deadwood last summer to free up places I'm the squad must take responsibility. Who is that?Originally posted by npinn001 View PostAny new manager is likely to get a short term lift from the team and we would start to win games. But at what cost. Every team European competition could have won four trophies to be fair. In the end we won two on pens without scoring in any of the finals. I think the rut started before this season.Originally posted by Fredo View PostForm and confidence?

You do understand that when struggling teams are winning 2-0 they're likely to relinquish control and sit back?Originally posted by Fredo View PostNot going to happen to play defensive football and change. That would be even more of a disaster. Stick to what we know, but confidence is an issue at the moment and we go into spells we allow chaos to ensue. We lost the game today in the first 20 mins. Then we were ok, but doesn't help when things don't go your way, it becomes a bit of a rut.
