Plenty of those about of course, but only a certain amount will be headline getters and at clubs where an army of supporters will click on links to read the story or switch on a station in enough numbers to make the station more attractive to advertisers.

Not saying it is an agenda against only LFC, just that a banner name club in a final is going to have a lot of stories, be they true, false or in some great area between both options, flying about it before the final and the various outlets will be pumping them out to garner views/hits.

Certain stories would still be getting put out there anyway though, regardless of cup finals.

If it were Burnley vs Everton in the final and a player's agent had been chatting to reps from Bayern Leverkusen it would not get the same push as the "story" would not have the same value or garner a fraction of the interest.
