Agree with him. In the cold light of day, that should be a red. Even if 99% of the time you can do that and you'd find yourself not endangering someone, the whole point of the laws is to place the responsibility on not endangering someone on the individual.
If it's a one game ban I'll be delighted, three would be harsh. Had a look at the laws yesterday and couldn't figure it out one way or t'other myself.

Reading around stuff I believe that it will be a 3 game ban - I thought 3 game bans were just for violent conduct but I believe than dangerous challenges (such as those worthy of a straight red card) are a 3 match ban too.
I wouldn't have a problem with a 3 game ban for bad challenges if the real violent conduct offences (punching someone or stamping on someone and stuff that isn't/shouldn't be part of the game) got longer bans. For me there needs to be a distinction between what happens as part of the game (mistimed, late challenges) and what doesn't (stamping, punching etc), at the moment I don't feel that that exists.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yeah I was struggling to rationalise an interpretation making it a one match ban, but in honesty it seemed much more likely to be a three.
Can totally see why Mane was sent off even though it was unintentional - when you leave the ground with a high boot/studs up, you need to make sure you aren't going to hurt someone in the process.
1 game ban should cover this as there was no intent to cause injury.
