Someone claimed Son's goal was better than Wijnaldum's today. I disagreed.

He was on 40 grand a week at Wolves and think he signed for 6 or 7 million and is earning his mint in the states. Even the ****e footballers can earn a fortune.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostSince he played for Reading?Last edited by danperkins; 07-12-20, 10:18 AM.

He doesn't seem completely happy with something that's gone on at the club for some reason. Do you think this is a bit of a Alonso/Barry situation? Possibly he wasn't happy with Thiago coming in and taking his place?
Either way he's not letting it affect him one bit, he's been incredible all season. Such a classy footballer. We absolutely have to do all we can to get him to sign!

Every time I read that the club wouldn't offer him a long term contract because of his age, I can't help but think that there is only months between him and Thiago who was given a 4 year contract, probably on 3 or 4 times what Gini is earning. Gini was also probably younger than Thiago when contract negotiations started too.Originally posted by Pablo View PostHe doesn't seem completely happy with something that's gone on at the club for some reason. As I've said before, it doesn't add up, but if it genuinely is what has happened, you couldn't blame him for being well pissed off. Every player who has signed in recent years and played well seems to be rewarded with a bumper contract a year or two into their time here. Gini is still on 2016 wages. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He sort of squats, gets the arse out, spins past 3 players and comes away with the ball with about 5 ricochets and 2 50-50's. Every. Time. He is an incredible player. As with about half of our team doesn't get the plaudits he deserves.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostHe has unbelievable strength doesn't he - you think he's gonna lose it and he backs in, spins away and problem solved. Just an incredible footballer.
You could see how knackered the team was vs a fresh Fulham, Gini (along with the rest of them) was miles off. But tonight when the same amount of miles in the tank as the opposition we just look incredible. And the team is built upon the hard work of Gini and Hendo.Modifying post.

Immense performance again from Gini. He’s a specialist of possession. They way he gets the ball in what are already tight positions and the odds are against him, he casually turns back into several opponents, sucks them in and elusively pops out with the ball. It’s just a joy to watch. If the season ended today he would be our POTYLast edited by Assassin; 17-12-20, 05:44 AM.
