Every time I read that the club wouldn't offer him a long term contract because of his age, I can't help but think that there is only months between him and Thiago who was given a 4 year contract, probably on 3 or 4 times what Gini is earning. When he goes into that mad Gini shuffle you know he is coming away with the ball. Tonight the midfield had perfect balance.

Immense performance again from Gini. He’s a specialist of possession. They way he gets the ball in what are already tight positions and the odds are against him, he casually turns back into several opponents, sucks them in and elusively pops out with the ball.
