Gini had some stinkers last season, not just less effective than usual, but poor performances. If he has a problem with people noting that, I guess that’s his problem.

I think some of his below par performances were down to his mind being elsewhere. He knew he was leaving so naturally your effort tails off, it happens in most jobs. The focus isn't quite at 100%, at the elite end that can be huge.

But I do feel a little guilty, and I honestly didn't mean him to take offence to my endless twitter putdowns I gave him over the last 12 months. I just couldn't help myself. I said he was a poor man's nigel spackman after one woeful performance and it must of really hit a nerve. Poor Gini. PSG is such a loving all embracing club at least from the outside looking in. He'll be loved there. I'll probably turn my attention to Henderson this year.

Nah, this season is about getting Keita out of the club.

So his move hasn't gone well so far and now his people are saying it was a mistake. Beggars belief.

Yeah I saw this on the BBC gossip column

Netherlands midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, 30, is "worn out" and his move to Paris St-Germain from Liverpool in the summer was a "mistake", according to a close friend. (L'Equipe - in French)
But I was taking it with a pinch of salt given it's so early into the season, I saw he got hooked at HT in the CL game midweek, but it seems a bit early to say something like that, unless there is something clearly wrong behind the scenes
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Wonder how much squad harmony plays a part in a player's move to a new club. Moving from Liverpool, where it feels like the squad just gel and get along, to a club like PSG where egos seem to be prominent must be a bit of a shock.

Well it was only last week or so when he was again on about how he left us because he was not made feel wanted.

Seems his now many interviews about why he left us each came right after a poor performance for PSG and his latest run of comments about us cam,e right before his stinker against Brugge.

Maybe forget about drip feeding complaints about us Gin, and concentrate on actually playing well for the team you now play for.

Does seem to be having trouble keeping his mouth shut as before his awful performance against Brugge he also said in his interview how Barca are his dream club and how they are the club he always wanted to join. Way to get the fans of your current club onside fella.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

We need 2 Gini threads the Gini 'legend' thread, and the Gini - 'dead to us now' thread.
