I think he was genuinely walking away but looked up and saw a gap through to divok. The balls to do it though, although it happened so quickly that he probably didn't have time to think about it.

He was the only one alive to it. Even Derek didn't twig it until he turned around in the last halfsecond, so major props to him as well for having to wherewithal to get his shot on target.

If Messi or Ronaldo had taken that corner you'd never hear the end of it. It's just a moment of opportunistic genius.
