I don't see Pep's departure as making it any less likely but time will tell. He fits what they are all about too perfectly for me.

If Pep was still there I'd be inclined to agree, now I'm not that sure, be hard for them to shift him on that sort of money

Will surely be hard to shift trent if he is on mega bucks. Rumoured 600k pw equivalent due to signing on a free.

Saudi might be his only option

Dumfries is a more Mourinho like right full anyways & imo if he signs, Trent will be sold at some point.

I saw one of the guys on The Anfield Wrap speculate that he could have been dropped in an attempt to better integrate Bellingham into the squad, the suggestion was that there was better squad harmony when Bellingham was dropped a few months back. Apparently in previous squads Bellingham wasn't getting involved in so much with other players which was bad for team spirit, he was just hanging around with TAA all the time. The suggestion being that they want to make Bellingham a more central part of the team and squad and removing TAA might be a way to force that to happen.

Obviously all speculation but you could see a scenario where the manager might think it worth leaving out TAA if it meant he could get more out of Bellingham...

Makes you wonder what Trent is actually like as a person. He can seem sulky but maybe that’s just his face. He does have an incredible ability to switch play with a long pass so you’d think Tuchel would want that in his squad. Not as a starter, because of his defending, but he would be a potential game changer from the bench. Feels almost like a teacher splitting two kids because one is a bad influence on the other.

Nah Jude will be talking him up so his ego will be in tact.

Found it odd he chose to take a booking for pulling someone back in midfield when Real were 4-1 up on aggregate against ten men with only a few mins left.
