Honestly trying to think of right backs, full backs even, who have run games like he runs games. I can't think of any. Lahm was amazing, but he didn't do this. I think Dani Alves at Sevilla and Barca is the best comparison, but he didn't really run the show like Trent does, not if my memory is right. I remember Alves for Sevilla utterly destroying (at the time a good) Middlesbrough side from right back. That's about as close as I can get.

Alves in his best season has 14 assists for Barcelona. His second best season for Barcelona he had 9 assists. TAA already has 12 assists last season and on track to break that this season.

Not at bad shout on Kimmich, he is more industry and fitness rather than technique. He started as a box to box midfielder and when Bayern signed him a Pep converted him to a fullback and Lahm to a midfielder........I guess it worked out for them

No team has played with two fullbacks as virtual wingers (since the 1930s probably), but I am sure other teams will find a way to adapt... Man marking a fullback [emoji3]

I have said it before, thecway we play the fullbacks are probably the mist important position. Lucky to have Robertson almost as dangerous on the other side. I wonder if we might see other teams try to emulate us by sticking wingers at fullback.

This season Kimmich has 5 assists at the rate of 0.2 every 90 minutes. In comparison, TAA is at 0.46 every 90 minutes this season.
