Thanjk you.
Paul.S
I think he’s unlucky. I don’t understand how the club’s medical staff can’t get to the bottom of his injuries though and he’s not the first one we’ve transformed into a crock.
Might as well sell him. Pains me to say it tbh but if we can find a taker - and I reckon Bundesliga clubs would be queuing up to sign him - we should sell. A drain on resources at this point.
Suarez was a worldie with us but he went next level at Barca - his numbers there were astounding
Ok Suarez I can agree with, though posting 'numbers' in the PL is vastly different than posting numbers anywhere else in the continent.
Alonso won loads at a decent level, but then so did Macca and Owen. As a cruder example, so did Bale. Not sure any of these players exceeded their peaks though, maybe maintained it for a short while.
Alonso had average games because look who he had to play next to when Gerrard was injured or rested.

Disagree on the Xabi Alonso statement. He was an instrumental player for Real Madrid and Bayern Munich for a number of years.
Same with Mascherano at Barca too.
They all went on to better things after leaving LFC and won loads of trophies. They played for - and were vitally important to - some of the biggest club football sides in the world. And won trophies. Can't get bigger than that.
The likes of Coutinho, Torres, McManaman, Owen all went to other clubs. All won things. But were not really important for any sustained period of time (McManaman perhaps an exception but he didn't really do it for 5-8 years like the others......more like 2-3 if my memory serves me correct?).
Such a pity FSG didn't take over LFC instead of H&G. Rafa was a cunt-hair away from having football domination.
Lucky for us there's absolutely no chance of that, he's nowhere near being a world-beater fully fit.
There's two things. He's may well be a perma crock no matter where he plays. That's the risk with footballers, especially when they play on fields when they're injured. And yeah he's never hit his ceiling and may never will.
Its a shame its went the way it has but its well past time to cut loose.
Yeah right, that's why Klopp spent £50 million pounds on him.
He's never been able to play 5 games consecutively here so it's easy to see why.
I didn't think he was a world beater before he came to us either. if you're going to throw around those kind of superlatives you've really got to do better than that.

"He's nowhere near being a world-beater fully fit"? How do you know that? He hasn't been able to play regularly for a length of time for us, so you cannot judge.
Aren't you the one throwing superlatives around such as "he's nowhere near being a world-beater fully fit"? How do you know that? He hasn't been able to play regularly for a length of time for us, so you cannot judge.
Given that since he's played for us he's given absolutely no indication that he would be I've some justification for it at least. What I don't do is throw out some grandiose, unjustifiable piffle, always at the extreme end of the scale, in an off-hand self-evident way and expect not to be called out on it.
He’s a fantastic player, maybe more as someone who makes us a better team rather than a stand out individual, but that’s not a bad thing.
Look back at Liverpool’s outstanding performances over the last 18 months and see how frequently they happen to be games that he has started in. Heck of a coincidence for someone who plays so sporadically.
His availability is wretched though, and doesn’t look like it’s ever going to improve. It’s massive shame for him and for Liverpool.
