Because he wasn’t injury prone before. Muscle related injuries can be fixed by understanding why in the first place it’s recurring. I don’t understand why we’ve not come to the bottom of it in his case. He obviously can’t fix himself on his own and he’s only 25.

No brainer innit. Injured most of the time and meh when fit. He's been a flop and needs shifting.

Maybe they do understand it, but there’s no undoing the recurring damage caused by playing in Afcon 2019 the month after he ruptured an adductor tendon in the CL semi final?

He’s entitled to go and play for his country. He can get a personal medical therapist with him if the club thinks he needs to so that he does the things that he should be doing to avoid injury.

I think there's a chance its more mental with him, maybe the club is too big, the pressure is too much?

He shouldn’t have been playing for anyone so soon after that injury, and he’s been paying for it ever since. I’m not saying it’s fault.

I’m sure the club medical team have been trying everything possible with him to try and prevent these recurring injuries. But yeah, personal medical therapist, maybe that’ll do it

I can't think of a single ex-LFC player that applies to. Not even Rushie. Alonso was about the same, maybe even less of a player than he was at LFC.

Surely Alonso counts. Won loads with Real and Bayern and was brilliant most of the time. He was inconsistent with us, as much as I loved him.

Is this a new injury or just that he's not recovered from his existing injury?

Suarez was a worldie with us but he went next level at Barca - his numbers there were astounding

Klopp said he’s close to being back. So I guess it’s an existing muscle issue.

I think it's time to sell him now. He's clearly never going to get over his injury issues.

Is there a similar type of player out there we could look at?
