Someone saying they thought we were getting a world class player isn’t the same as as there being a commonly held consensus that he actually was world class though. It’s actually saying the opposite.

Why don’t you quote some of these posts that actively claimed him to be world class?

    Your mum can help you.

I know! Wrong on so many levels!

Thing is we've all been sold a pup on players in the past, but we don't have to continue the delusion. For me I genuinely believed that Baros would be the Ostravan Maradona. Owned.

Maybe some shouts during his Leipzig days about potential to be, but that’s it.

My recollection was that Naby came to us with the same kind of buzz as Szoboslai - you may mot have heard of this guy but he's going to wow you. Difference is Szoboslai did very well at first.

Even that video says to me that at his very best he's a decent player. World class I just don't buy.

I can understand where you are coming from as Nabi when he fancied it, was quite brilliant but in spurts & came with quite a reputation from Germany hence the "world class" billing.

I remember wathcing a few of thsese and was sure he was the missing link,. Driven, Tenacity and vison....All left in Germany.

I think he made Austrian, then German, then Uefa team of year before we signed him

That cunt stole a living that most of us would give for with the club at a fraction of what he cost! Given where he came from in that part of Africa, you would think he would realise the privilege he was given.
