Possibly. There's worse things than being seen as a stepping stone to RM / Barca though.

At least the top talent will come here and if they make it they improve us along the way and give us a cash injection.

It doesn't feel like that big a problem anymore. Klopps using some pretty amazing cogs, but they all seem replaceable.

Keita would be cup tied for the CL as he has already played in the CL this season.

Yup, Keita would replace Phil's output very well, although i believe his numbers have dipped a little this season.

His numbers have dropped, but for any other player playing in his position those numbers would still read like a very good season. Was just that his numbers for last season were so good they were silly.

Also he has been played in the deepest CM role mostly this season whereas last season his manager let him be more central and more of a box to box player.


So as he has been in the deeper role his goal and assist numbers have dropped off. But in defensive terms his avaerage tackles per game this season as over 3 per game and his interceptions are over two per game, which are very healthy defensive stats.


But if this season is what a supposedly unmotivated Keita can do in a strong league and in the CL, I cannot wait to see how he plays for the team he wants to play for.

He'll be one of the best midfielders on the planet within a year or two, well he already is but needs a bigger platform.

Get it done. Just **** he can't play in the CL. Get a big couple of years out of him then we can enjoy him on Sky's La Liga coverage in 2020.
