No one on either team had more touches (106) than Keita. He completed 72 of his 78 passes (92 per cent). As well as being a creative force throughout, there were five tackles and an interception. He proved adept at turning defence into attack as he regained possession on eight occasions.

It was the league game at Anfield but I think he was struggling with fitness earlier. No doubt he’s been better of late - we really need him to be disciplined this weekend and protect Trent. City love to overload down their left
Great to have so many players in form.
We need solid 8/10's and upwards from everyone on Sunday.

I can’t find that anywhere online other than that tweet. Pretty much every report on his performance gives him an 6-6.5/10 and mentions how the performance calmed and we took the sting out of the game when he and Bobby came on. Hendo is 85% pass completion for the season. I also thought he played well vs Chelsea in the Caraboa.
Did you watch the interview with Rio was a good insight into his/the job as a 6 or DM.
Tough job for anyone in our midfield v City or Chelsea if we aren’t pressing well. I’d start him, just over Naby but nice to have these options off the bench

Thanks. I hadn’t realised the assist for Diaz was a lucky deflection.Originally posted by Irishnev View Post
On a side note, I do wish these comps went back to showing all touches, good and bad, like Mostar used to.
Ps, Keita had a good game.Last edited by Kenneth; 06-04-22, 07:19 PM.

- I hope he makes a prick out of me on Sunday but in high intensity games that rely on touch and technique he’s struggled this season. He was ****e vs City and Chelsea are earlier this season - couldn’t control the ball under pressure. He’s been better recently so let’s hope it continues Sunday

Even Dan has to say he was good

At least Hendo is trying though, Thiago doesn't even try to waste a sloppy pass.

We definitely settled down when the subs were made, and effectively closed the game out.

To be honest I thought he was a bit headless when he came on and gave the ball away a lot - didn’t want to say as I’ve form for Hendo bashing….Originally posted by Shaggy View PostSuperb last night. I had Sunday's midfield pegged as Fab, Thiago and Hendo but I think Naby might have played his way in. Absolutely superb. That said, Henderson was excellent coming on and sorting **** out again. Tough choice.
Saw this though

He played 90 mins so he won’t start vs City - I think Hendo will start and should as he is club captain but he needs to be ultra disciplined in his defensive duties. He loves to wander and we really need angry Hendo to turn up

Naby Keita
I like the fact he rarely ever loses the ball. Plays the right pass always. Tries something more difficult when the moment is right (see 3rd goal) and keeps our midfield tickling along most of the times which is essential to our system, or we get caught out.
