He lost possession far too often in areas he shouldn't either by poor passing or just wanting too much time

There was one second half pass to Fabinho that was a hospital pass. The guy is a £50m but he looks so naive in possession

The biggest unfathomable one for me is how he got so many yellow and red cards in Germany, he barely puts a tackle in here

We played poor as a team yesterday, yes we have injuries but some of those who have stepped in haven't covered themselves in glory

Once again our squad has been exposed as seriously lacking in depth (in terms of quality)

seems way to easy to knock off the ball and lacks the tenacity to win it back.

i think he played better once in a two with fabinho. he seems to struggle in a midfield three

We really missed Wijnamdum and Henderson. Having those allows Fabinho to play further forward where his pressing and passing can do damage.

I made the same observation...he seems to work much better in a 2 man pivot.

He’s a high risk player, beating players from midfield is risky.

He excelled at in BL, he’s lost the ball a few times here and has clearly reigned in his natural game.

Not getting subbed gave him confidence to drive forward and he did it well.

But.... he needs to wake up and learn that you don’t have time to relax in this league.

If he doesn’t let this season rattle him and learns from it he can do well here. Time will tell.

              Come on Nabi!

I think when he first came in and was playing instinctively you could see how good he was. Since he's been expected to adapt his game, he's struggled and first half of the West Ham game was classic of it - one minute he's overeager trying to press when others weren't or trying to beat four players in tight spaces, then the next minute anxious with the ball and quickly shuffling it sideways. He just gives the impression of someone who needs time to develop some familiarity with what's expected of him so he can find his rhythm. He does also look like he needs to hit the gym. Perhaps not literally bulking up, it's a lazy expression, but improve his tenacity on the ball. I really think he'll get there and be class for us. Not sure when though.

Yeah you can hardly be all that surprised by a pithy response from Kenneth after all this time on the forum?

That post was borderline euphoric for him based on the last 7 days.
                              Modifying post.

Don't worry I don't take anything on this forum very seriously.

I do think we're seeing genuine signs though of Naby improving. He's growing as the game goes on. Partly that's because he's starting each game so poorly, but still, it's something!

He'll probably be back on the bench once Gini and Henderson are back. Being out of the spotlight might be a good thing.

I have a sneaking feeling he's going to do something good from the bench in one of these next few games.

He looks a confidence player, so if he can get a goal or makes a key assist his performances will probably instantly improve.
