We'll never see the best of him there, he's not a left midfielder but he's so good he'll do a decent job.

Where do you think his best position is?Originally posted by Chris View PostWe'll never see the best of him there, he's not a left midfielder but he's so good he'll do a decent job.
Watching his highlight vids and updates before he arrived he always seems best driving from centre mid and running at the opposition midfield and defence.
Not so suited to tika taka.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

He played as one of the two pivots in a 4-2-3-1 with the license to do as he pleased. I think he could play that role with Fabinho or develop to play as one of the 8s in Klopp’s 4-3-3. Games like the one vs Napoli (high transition end to end) is where he would excel and I now think it will be next season before we see the best of him.Originally posted by baitman View PostWhere do you think his best position is?

It’s actually great that he can bed in with no pressure because the rest of the team is functioning so well. He needs to adapt to the pace of the game here and realize that he has less time on the ball.
We are getting glimpses of what he is about and he’ll soon have a break out performance such as the one Fabinho had today

I said a few weeks ago, that as great as City are, we're still keeping pace with them, but have so much more room for improvement. Shaq has now started adding goals, Fabinho getting better by the game and sooner or later Keita is going to reach beast mode. Once he does, we'll be unstoppable.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostHe played as one of the two pivots in a 4-2-3-1 with the license to do as he pleased. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I think he's just trying a bit too hard, no quite match sharp etc.
Looks quality, just sometimes taking on 1 too many touches, trying to prove himself. He'll be fine that lad, absolute gem."that is my opinion and that is more important than what anyone else has to say about it" - Mr A.Fergusson, Oct 2011

The one where Lukaku got booked or after? I was dozing off through the game and MOTD after a particularly heavy weekend.
Interesting tackle as Lukaku was flying in but Nabby was studs up, wondered how the Ref would deal with it. Book the Belgian, only fair after the world cup"that is my opinion and that is more important than what anyone else has to say about it" - Mr A.Fergusson, Oct 2011

Not surprised with Naby stood on his nut sack.Originally posted by Norbs View PostI think he followed through on Lukaku and stood on his groin. Lucky not to get booked himself. Lukaku's attempt at a leg breaker missed didn't it? Ironically

I keep thinking the exact same, he's almost there but just seems to be overcooking things slightly and spoiling the meal. Watching him reminds me of someone with an important answer on the tip of his tongue but before he gets it out, things have moved on. When he clicks he's going to be a beast - he has a little bit of everything in his locker, except he's good at each skill in his repertoire, unlike Can who was a little bit average at everything but still thought his ****e was chocolate.
