For some reason that reminded me of Fred. £52m and he still can't make the matchday squad

And I still frequently see United fans take the piss out of Keita on Twitter too

A positive couple of games, especially the last one. Will be interesting to see how he does against decent sides in the next two games.

Every time Fabinho does something great I can't help but think of Fred. Think it's because I read a few articles preseason arguing that United got the better deal.

I probably think about Fred more than most United fans, some of whom probably even forgot he's there.

I thought second half was the best hes been for us for any sustained period of time

First half he was a little bit up and down but second half his performance was very good

That through ball to Firmino, I didn't realise how it good it was until I saw the behind the ball angle and witnessed the bend he put on it as well as the spot on weight behind it.

The second half against West Ham was a big step but nobody really realised it because nobody was happy with the game and nobody talked about this. We will probably see a couple of bad halves from Naby in the future, that’s completely normal. But it was clear the whole week the second half was really important to him. The position was clearer and clearer. This was a really good game. There is still a lot to come because he is still adapting. Sometimes it takes longer, that’s how it is. People lose patience, that’s normal – but we don’t. This was obviously one of the best games he’s played. It looked natural. That’s exactly where we wanted it to come and where we wanted it to go. - JK

I think he is. But we're still waiting for that game where everyone says 'wow - what about taha goal, that assist, he took the game by the scruff of the neck' etc. etc. Perhaps versus the Mancs? But I think he needs to develop a bit more belief and even arrogance before he delivers on his quality. He looks a bit timid/lost sometimes.

He has a good game again last night but I thought he might do well in the European games which by their very nature are a little less physical than the Premier League

He's adapted his game to the pace while in midfield but he's still adapting to finding space in the final 3rd

His final ball is slightly off but he's getting his head up and he's trying to play the right ball more than he was. He's close to being really very good.

I thought his defensive work was great in the first half, getting back, intercepting things & showing for the ball which is something he hasn't been doing. Going forward though which I thought was his main strength he is just too casual and seems to be 1 second off when he's shooting or passing. Was happy with the first half performance but disappeared in the second... well most did actually. Few very under hit and frustrating passes picking the wrong option.

We can all can see he's a lovely footballer and is a split second away from really pushing on. I feel maybe a good solid pre season in the summer will when we see the best of him... hopefully!

For now, there has been slight progression but he does need to do more for us and chip in with some goals and assists. The creativity in our midfield is so apparently lacking that teams just mark the front 3 so closely and nobody else in the side really scores goals. We need one of Fab/Hendo/Gini/Keita to burst forward and get into the opposition penalty area. The front lads some help & need someone driving up the pitch to us more of a threat for the midfield area.

He is starting to warm to the task and to me at least looks better with each game

Naby must have enjoyed it last night ....he must have thought he was back in the Bundesliga....makes even more sense for him to start in the return game in 3 weeks time.
