Ox has the odd nice moment, but overall he is bang average.

Motd were waxing lyrical about his movement between the lines, to increase pressure in the press etc.
He wasn't on the ball much and the newcastle players just seemed to ignore him rather than waste a player marking him.

Basically, he was playing quite high up the pitch, so they stayed a bit deeper in midfield. The examples used were stretching to fit the narrative somewhat. He did alright.

Serious hamstring injury on the tour of Asia. He's done.

            Sign a midfielder now ffs.

Have to say I feel for the guy now. Almost 29 years of age and spent the prime years for physical prowess having injury after injury after injury.

Yes people could say he is paid well, has a nice house, nice family and whatever, but it has to take a mental toll on the guy.

And I know we as a club would have been better off (in terms of on pitch use) to have replaced him some time ago if we are to look at it in purely playing terms, however I still feel bad for the fella.

Being a "shouda/coulda/woulda been good if only for.." guy cannot be a nice thing and when it is with such a high profile club that spotlight burns bright.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I don't feel for him at all, just want him gone. He offers absolutely nothing but draining our wages & having incredible dance moves.

                              I get it, Dan.

He is, in your own words in the other thread, just a turd that will not flush.

Yet you praise Laporte as a great player. The same Laporte who over the past five seasons has played in slightly more league games than Chamberlain.

Man City player who misses loads of games through injury = great player

Liverpool player who misses loads of games through injury = turd

You do know we can call Chamberlain injury prone and say we should have moved him on earlier without resorting to calling him, a player still with the team we all say we support, a turd.

Chamberlain is a player we took a punt on when we got him. That punt has not paid off on the pitch. It is not his fault and it is not the club's fault. It is just awful luck with injuries.

Yes we should have tried to move him on earlier imo, maybe we did but got no takers at the price we wanted, but when it comes to calling a player a turd I will stick to calling opposition players words like that unless it is one of our own players who disgraced himself and the club in the manner that guys like Diouf did.

Sorry for having a bit of a pop at you Dan, but I think it is out of order calling him a **** that will not flush the day after a bad injury is announced.
