Really glad he’s doing well. Where do people think is his natural position? Does he sit in CM? Will he be first choice next year (given the rumoured departures and new signings)?
    Another MASSIVE game

Going on this season's level of rotation I'm not sure there is such a thing and first choice in the traditional sense anymore. Throughout the whole team including goal.

So he fits in pretty well as an option to have.

Probably better Mignolet in goal too.
      Oh I don't know.

Not sure about that. There is clearly some prefered players i.e. Firmino, Coutinho and Salah that starts more game than others. Same goes with Matip when he is ready and I'm fairly certain that VVD will be entering such a role and Moreno also held it untill his injury causing Robertson some frustration about his move. Can seems ever present in central midfield atm.

We're rotating far more than before, partly because of greater squad depth and partly because of CL and that we've learned from last season. I'd still wager that if we had a fresh selection of players at disposal for the next game with no considertion of the game after these players would be prefered:

        (Mignolet)

        ?? VVD Matip Moreno

        ?? Can Coutinho

        Salah Mané

        Firmino

One of the question marks being Keita when he comes. Obviously King Ragnar should be there, but he seems to accept his role as rotation/backup.

It's great to see that more players are rising to the challenge this year and the team is really coming together. May it long continue and may we be granted a decent keeper.

His set pieces are ****ing excellent

Want him to succeed and has improved a bit recently but still waiting for him to do something. Keeps on pulling out of challenges too which is very annoying.

Played well again, lovely ball to put Lallana through on goal as well.

Really is not going to be a CM here, much better wide for me

And good pace to keep defences back and not squeezing the middle. That alone justifies his inclusion. Could do with a bit more guile which hopefully he'll learn in the job.

He’s proving to be an astute signing

He put a great ball in for the Klavan goal vs Burnley that didn't get much credit. I don't think it was his best game but he did well given he was in a midfield with Milner and an off form Lallana.

Thought he was really poor tonight. Set pieces granted are decent which is a welcome change but he was so wasteful and very timid in the tackle as in previous games. He needs to start adding some sort of production to his game which has never really had in his career. Without that he 'll just be a squad player for us imo.

Didn't think he was at his best tonight but still contributed.

Today wasn't one of his best games but I thought he was decent enough.

If I'm honest he's doing better than I thought he would with us. I'm still not sure where he plays long term, he seems very much the utility player.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He made an assist today. He wasn't at his best but he was far from being poor.
                                Are we winning?
