You could say that - Or on the other hand you could say that Salah was WAY underpriced.

Salah would probably have cost closer to £60m if we'd signed him later in the window purely down to the fact that transfer fees exploded this summer.

think its folly to relate transfers against each other, Ox looks a bargain against Sigurdsson for instance and everyone looks overpriced against Salah.

I think we have spent £40million on a player who may not be on a Mane/Salah level but can still offer a threat and is potentially capable of getting a lot better.

Money well spent imo.

Arsenal mate of mine still reckons we got a bargain and that he's much more consistent than Walcott. He said that Ox was first 11 and played almost every game.

Said it before that I think he arrived in really poor shape and the first month can be ignored as he was struggling with the pace of the game. He's up to fitness now and learning his role.

Hopefully that is otherwise he's patently ****

I think he will turn out to be very valuable for us, him being English and coming from a rival adds a few pounds on the price tag, but players like Chris Wood were going for 15 million in the summer FFS.

I think that he has been steady so far, I'd like to see more from him but he is still new to the club and hasn't had that much game time yet. With the games coming thick and fast over the next month or so I think he's going to get more game time. I can see us rotating him with Salah and Mane over the month, I wouldn't be surprised if the 3 of them play two thirds of the games each over the month eg Salah/Mane one game, Salah/Ox, next and Mane/Ox in the 3rd in an attempt to keep everyone fresh.

He played pretty well.

His interview after the game was outstanding and I wish our captain (not a dig at Henderson) was a personality like that. He got MoTM, which was strange and he said so himself then when Coutinho was asked an awkward question about his future. He got into the camera frame, put his arm around Phil and played it down. Brilliant.

He played well against Everton and again today in the middle. Goes through an awful lot of work and gives loads of energy in the middle. Was good to see Henderson on the front foot more also today

Just caught that interview. He spoke so well and seems a natural leader. Having said that, there is no way Coutinho is staying beyond this season from his reaction.

Oxlade has always given good interviews, he's not camera shy and has a natural delivery.

What he did with Coutinho was brilliant, captain like dare I say?

His tackle and run at goal was just what we need to see from our midfield and I reckon we'll see a lot more of that when Keita turns up!

Absolutely depressing to see the lack of life in coutinho when we talking after matches or whenever he scores a goal. Somehow we can't keep him but the scum hold onto their keeper.
