My opinion on him is no secret. But I am now beginning to see what he brings to the table. When we lose/rest the likes of Mane or Salah we still retain the dangerous pace which forces the opposition teams to continue with a defensive mindset. This helps our midfield and defence immeasurably.

Even without Mane and Salah opposition teams can't pressure our midfield by pushing their defensive line up 10-15 yards. Ox might not be Salah or Mane on the break but he has enough to be a fast breakaway goal threat which Coutinho, Firmino, Sturridge and Lallana wouldn't. His ball control and game intelligence is improving each game too, I'm seeing him caught less on his heels (mentally and physically) than I did say a month ago.
    One tit for another.

Quite a few said the same about Salah.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Have we not all moaned about our lack of strength in depth for the last 5 or so years?

Ignoring the CC, he got his first start at the beginning of this month and since then he's started 4, with us winning 3 and drawing 1. He's allowed us to give a much needed rest to Mane and Salah, something we couldn't afford last year.

His performances haven't justified his price tag so far, but he's still proving a worthwhile signing.

Still think he's a bloody expensive squad player & that the money should have been spent on a decent centre half.....

                Anyway, move on.......

I would argue though that £35m this summer was last years £20m. Under Rafa that was a top signing, it's now our squad player. To me that shows how far we've come, not something to moan about By all accounts we are loaded so i don't think signing him effected any other signings.

                  But yeah, fair enough..

£35m today or £20m last season is like Rafa spending £5-10m back in the day

Its just the way money in football has moved on

He has definitely improved these past few weeks and as others have said he has allowed us to rotate pace and guile. The price is largely irrelevant because the current market is bonkers.

We certainly have but I'd rather fill up the squad from the Academy and spend out limited funds on first choice players.

I just think OC was well overpriced compared with Salah for example.

That's fair enough if they are good enough. I guess it's about balance really and for me we are doing pretty well...the likes of TAA, Gomez, Solanke are getting games but we still have quality on the bench at the same time.

That's just the way transfers are though no? They don't all work, sometimes you get a bargain sometimes you maybe pay a bit over the odds. I'm not really arsed what we do as long as Klopp is getting the players he wants

You could say that - Or on the other hand you could say that Salah was WAY underpriced.

Salah would probably have cost closer to £60m if we'd signed him later in the window purely down to the fact that transfer fees exploded this summer.
