What signing on fee and wages would we have had to pony up? Its not always a straight forward calculation.
Well, it'd be less than £35m obviously. My point was, it may have taken the pressure off a big money move... some players don't cope well with big fees, others don't care.

Hardly big money this summer when you think Gylfi Siggurddson or Kyle Walker cost £50m.
        *Except Michael, who died.

That adds context but he's still one of our record signings. You'd have to ask the player himself if the fee has affected him or he's just overwhelmed with the tasks he's been set, the move, the city or anything at all but he's far better than last night suggested.

As bad a first start in a red shirt for as long as I can remember, but there may be mitigating circumstances. It can't be any coincidence that his ankles were bizarrely strapped up like that... He could barely move in the first half

Perhaps we should let him have a few games before writing him off

Plus time with Mane and Salah on the pitch and sure he would look better

He wont be on the pitch with both of them at the same time.

He's a good player, I think we overpaid a bit but meh. He's a good squaddie and better than all the other replacements for wingers. Need to settle, both on and off the pitch. He's got the tools and Klopp will help him use them.

I thought it was OJ Simpson he was talking about. That that was a bit harsh

Probably not as many as on the other sites you frequent.

Noticed he came into the centre for the final periods and suddenly looked half decent. Think we might see him there next time.

He really didn't look half decent, he was just spraying misplaced passes around from the centre of the pitch rather than just from RW

He looked absolute dog**** and can't remember a player looking so bad on his debut. His confidence looks shot it could be a long rebuilding process.

Problem is the longer he is not in the team or being a bit part player its not going to do his confidence any good.
