Wenger:Arsene Wenger has questioned whether Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was tapped up by Liverpool.

The Arsenal manager said on Thursday it would be naive to think his players are not being tapped up before matches and is unsure whether they were on the day of their 4-0 loss to Liverpool last week.

‘You are not naive enough to think that will not happen,’ Wenger said. ‘I don’t know (if it happened before the loss to Liverpool). I don’t know.
‘Have they been tapped up? Of course. But on the day of a game? I don’t think so, I hope not. But it’s inevitable.

Probably covered in one of teh video's Shaggy posted, but I can't access them from work, so not sure. Anyway...

I’ve spoken to the manager about this, there’s going to be a lot of positions in this team: up-front, because the wingers play a bit more inside, or the midfield. I need to get a feel for how the team plays and obviously it’s for the manager to decide. But ultimately, I just want to be able to be an attacking influence and have that effect further up the pitch; whether that’s from an attacking midfield position or one of the wider positions coming in, I’m not too fussed.
So he doesn't necessarily want to play CM, he just doesn't want to play FB. Also sounds like Klopp has told him we'll use him in a variety of positions, which was what a lot of people expected when we signed him.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He just really didn't want to play for Arsenal any more

Klopp added that Oxlade-Chamberlain could play in four different positions in Liverpool's current system.

The two CM roles and out wide.

He didn't mention Liverpool or OX , the way this has been reported as an attack on Liverpool is utter bull****.

                    Hmmmmmm

Almost £40m for the a guy with 9 months left on his contract and we haven't won a game since he joined and now he is quickly turning into a scapegoat for a failed transfer window.

That money could have been used for a new CB and added to the 'war chest' for Lemar.

Arsenal fans laughing at us also.

It's early days but by god it's been a Joe Cole start to his Liverpool fc career.

He actually looks a bit over awed, and doesn't seem to know where he fits in. Don't think he played the position he was supposed to at all this evening.

What worries me is, this is how he played when I saw him for Arsenal. Yes he'd put a decent few games together but he'd tend to get injured then and his stock would rise when he was out. He'd then come back in, play **** under the excuse of needing time to get fit, rinse and repeat, his stock grew further when the rest of the team were playing **** but he was at least seen to be trying.

                            Bang average player.

I always saw him as a headless chicken during his Arsenal days and when we were linked I though god please no.

Hopefully Klopp can improve him but there's a hell of a lot he needs to improve on.

On this (albeit early) form he is going to struggle to get near the team when Lallana is fit.
