He just doesn't look right in the Liverpool shirt......

Reminded me of Bellamy when he first signed for us, Robbie Keane as well to a lesser degree. Just trying too hard, move could be a bit much for him for a while. I do wonder if we'd have waited 9months if Lallana hadn't got injured.

Yes that's a good shout. He looks like he's never played football before, just sprinting around aimlessly.

You could see the confidence drain from him when he missed that chance in the first few minutes.

We'll need to be patient with him. Are fans are good with that though right?

It clearly hasn't helped that he is being introduced at a time when we are struggling. Would be interesting to see him start with the best players we have.

He has gone from a passing side to a pressing side. He just needs time to get up to speed. He will be fine.

What you see is what you get, a squad player at best; he isn't a CM, nor a RWB & has not got the tools to be a starter in a Klopp forward formation; so what is going to be his position?

I don't care we spent 35mill on him, rather than wait 9 months & get him free (i think he was bought to appease Klopp/fans tbh); but i am concerned that he isn't a good fit.

So say we waited 9 months to get him on a 'Free'

What signing on fee and wages would we have had to pony up? Its not always a straight forward calculation.

complete waste of £125m - i can tell after one match that he won't improve.
What were we thinking paying £150m for him?

I wouldn't want him on a free, his wages alone will be worth 3 academy players who are all at his standard or better.

He is bang average, nothing more.

If we can find the receipt can we return him?

Poor game admittedly but it is only his first start, far too soon to be writing him off.

Curiously I see some mention Lallana, if you review the Lallana thread there are similar posts about him not being good enough, waste of money etc.

Agreed. Far too early, given he's just changed clubs, and he wasn't here for pre-season, unlike Joe Cole was under Hodgson. Understanding our patterns of play will take time to absorb, and with the added pressure, well, let's be patient with this one, because he has all the attributes to be a huge success.

Didn't look fit to me - looked like he was blowing out his arse after about 20 minutes.

He definitely needs time, that was his first start. He can only get better. Makes you realise how many of our signings hit the ground running.
