In fairness, Bayern were never going to buy him, that was obvious. In the same way they didn't buy James.
Coutinho's buy fee is 110 which is ridiculous for a 28yo. If Barca halve that fee, there'll be plenty of takers i'd imagine.
But yeah, a cautionary tale indeed - but these fellas have egos some of us could only dream of.

Yeah, no way we'll entertain taking him back. The next stage for us is bringing a new team, not that this one has nothing left to give but with most of the wordies at their peak at 28/29 we'll be looking at adding a few younger ones to cycle into the team now.
Klopp referenced the next build at signing his contract... and i'm guessing this doesn't involve signing 28year olds. That's for the Mourinho's of this world.
