YepOriginally posted by Pablo View PostLooks like he's playing on cruise control so far. Plays very deep, almost a sweeper, but I love how quickly he moves the ball on.
If he can adjust to the frantic pace of the Premier League I think he's going to be a fantastic pivot for us.
telescopic legs for interceptions
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

yes I agree. Think the intensity of the PL will see him making the challenges you wouldn’t normally see in pre season friendliesOriginally posted by Pablo View PostLooks like he's playing on cruise control so far. Plays very deep, almost a sweeper, but I love how quickly he moves the ball on.

Unsure. He seems to have a pretty languid style to me so far. And as said he really loves dropping deep... Too deep.Originally posted by Maxiedge View Postyes I agree. Think the intensity of the PL will see him making the challenges you wouldn’t normally see in pre season friendlies
Not even played a competitive game though and yeah he's very comfortable at moving the ball on and seeing passes. He's an intriguing one for me.

has definitely has that languid style about him. Cruises around closing down space, keeping ball flowing & can burst forward if needs be. Has played right infront of the back 4 in the small time he has been here though, seemed disciplined.
Curious to see what way Klopp wants him to play. He was allowed to burst forward for Monaco, not really sure he will do that for us. IMO if i had to compare him to any player, it would be Patrick Vieira style wise. Whether or not he gets the freedom to burst forward like Vieira used to... I'm not so sure.

Yep. Have a feeling that he may prove to be our rock in the centre. Said it already but I think he will become the sort of esential player that you only notice when he is out of the team.
He will provide a calmness and control in the centre and he will be that shield for the Centre backs when needed to be.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

im kind of ok with him being the deeper CM as he has pace to cover when needed. i think he is sitting so deep so he can get used the position and ensure he isnt caught with his pants down.
hopefully this caution will ensure we are not suckers for the counter despite all our great pressing against the buss parkers, as has happened several times before.
this could then means we dont let a winning position turn into a draw, or a draw into a loss...removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Klopp's already went on record to say that's what he did at Monaco but he's been instructed otherwise here and that'll take him a bit of time to get used to how we play. He's not going to be much protection for our CBs if he's playing behind them.Originally posted by baitman View Postjust what we have been missing.

Understandable to expect him to take his time to adapt mind you. Oxlade was the same for example as was Robertson to an extent.
I think it'll end up being as you were with Henderson though especially at the start of the season.
