Henderson can do the job, not as well, but he's pretty efficient when he is disciplined and holds position, it's just he has that tendency to forget his primary role (not unusual given it's not his customary job).

Hendo can do it indeed and when he’s in possession I don’t think we lose much vs fab but it’s the stopping the counter and regaining possession that fab does better than anyone else in that position.

****ing sod's law isn't it. We work tirelessly on getting to two finals and then lose a key player in the middle of the park for potentially both games. Like Salah being injured early doors against Real in the CL final... that really knocked us and we lost all momentum.

Ali wouldn't have ****ed up a badly as Karius though... Jeez that's still the worst performance in a red shirt since Bogdan palming the ball into his own net in a cup game.

Let's hope we get into a rhythm with Hendo in there and we can use the league games before the CL final to get it working with a settled team.

We just need to stay positive, one game at a time and ignore the noise from down the M62... mentality monsters needed for 16 more days.

I think this will be a rather open game and that will suit Henderson, Keita and Thiago.
