Fabinho is starting to look good and consistently so. Also I agree that Henderson is more suited to the more advanced role, hopefully he plays that position more when he is in the side.

it’s been the defensive side of Jordan’s game that I think he’s struggled with tbh. And that’s not a good thing for someone being asked to play as a holding midfielder. Fab looks much more comfortable dispossessing opposition players doesn’t he.

Im not sure henderson still has that rampaging run and stamina to be the main engine component any more.
Maybe this is why he was favoured as the deeper player, to allow him to still be a regular in the team, but i have never really seen him as a natural deeper lying player as he was never a great tackler before he took up the role even though he has since had the odd good cruncher.

Now fabinho seems to be stepping up and making the deep midfield role his own it kind of leaves henderson out on a limb. Maybe he can add some cover but i dont see him as the first choice is any position.

I totally agree with you. We might get a good 60 mins of flat out energy out of him in selective matches or he could offer energy off the bench in a more advanced roll. It’s the deep DM position I hope to not see him again
