Why has he gone from imperious to ****e in such a short amount of time? Fatigue? Injury? Teeth whitening toxicity?

There have been a few times in the past where he has come back from injury and played like a donkey for 2-3 games and then sorted it out.
I wonder if it is the fact that we have also totally restructured the way we play at the same time and he just cant seem to get into it.
It is mad tho. His timing has gone, cant play a simple pass. Seems to be overthinking everything and not playing instinctively (which the entire team could be accused of).
We are like an orchestra without a conductor.Modifying post.

More like a primary school orchestra with a music teacher growing ever more frustrated at the lack of craft on display.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostThere have been a few times in the past where he has come back from injury and played like a donkey for 2-3 games and then sorted it out.

All the officials had a mare. Neither Lino had the balls to flag offside when it was a yard or more. Most of the Man U threats came from offside calls made late (or VAR told them to flag), otherwise they would have only had the Rashford 1:1 with Alisson.Originally posted by S-RED View PostIn hindsight his yellow was a joke, the **** they got away with was stunning in comparison
The result overshadows the poor officiating performance, but the club still needs to start highlighting the errors and bias to the PL and PGMOL. Particularly regarding Mo, that Martinez elbow was ridiculous and we didn’t get a foul FFS?!?We are here for a good time not a long time....

Said it in the Henderson thread but it’s crazy that some of you can’t see that players aren’t machines, and lack of form happens after a gruelling season when they were full on for 60+ games. The fact that a few of them weren’t at their best as well, didn’t help as they had to play through it when we were taking a hammering and had to change systems to accommodate the failings.
It would have made no sense to splash some silly money in the transfer market getting replacements for out of form players. Even seen that he’s getting old. He’s 29 ffs.
Are we winning?

The problem for Fab is the amount of football he's played. I read he's played around 29,000 minutes in his career. Casemiro, for example, who's 31 has played 21,000. So he's played almost a full career's worth of football already. Could well be a factor in the drop off.Originally posted by Fredo View PostSaid it in the Henderson thread but it’s crazy that some of you can’t see that players aren’t machines, and lack of form happens after a gruelling season when they were full on for 60+ games. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yeah I read he’s already had the career of the average 33 year old in terms of minutes played. He’s been overplayed, all that mileage takes its toll.
I think recent games have shown he can still be his old self, as long is there’s legs either side of him and he’s not playing twice a week, every week..

Yeah, saw that, and there was a stat I think that Arsenal's players had played only half of Liverpool's players minutes over the last two or three years. The overplaying is huge factor IMO but also highlights the poor recruitment over the the three years or so.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostThe problem for Fab is the amount of football he's played. But yeah, he's finding his feet again, hopefully he continues like this and we count on him for a few seasons more.
