He’s certainly looked like he’s got more miles in his legs over the last year, tackles have got lazier and more reckless. Best DM in the world at his peak, but his peak has passed. People seemed happy with £25 on the previous page so £40m is a bonus. Onwards and upwards for us hopefully.

Yep, he’s already had the career of a 33 year old in terms of minutes played.
We’ve been guilty of overplaying him and it shows. He did look better towards the end of last season, but for £40m the timing is probably right.

Not that arsed about Henderson leaving, but letting Fabinho goes does feel like a mistake.

If it was mega money I'd understand it, but we'll struggle to replace his class for £40m IMO. I believe he suffered from being overplayed so if we'd kept him but given him proper competition I think we could have had another 2/3 years of good performances out of him.

Shame. There is obviously the chance that he is set on the move and that's forced our hand of course.
